Exams There will be a short quiz on each of the chapters. Each quiz is worth 20 points. There are four exams each worth 99 points.. The short chapter quizzes will be taken on your own computer using a program called ChemWeb that gives you immediate feedback on the quiz. There are set due dates for chapter quizzes. They must be completed before the exams are taken. Prepare for these quizzes by completing the Tutor assignment for that specific chapter. The Tutor is discussed under Assignments. Prepare for the exams by reviewing the Tutor assignments, the chapter quizzes, and the practice exercises. The exams are available in the WSU Testing Center in the Student Services Center, at the Davis Center, and online via a proctor. You will need a photo ID and must start the exam at least one hour before closing. If you live outside a 50-mile radius of the WSU-Ogden campus, see the Exams site for instructions. No make up exams will be given. If a student has an unavoidable conflict such as a university field trip, the situation must be discussed with the instructor in advance of the exam day. A schedule of exams is found on the assignments page. |

Assignments Completion of the Tutor review for each chapter is required. Even though this assignment is not collected or graded, it will be much to your advantage to complete the Tutor reviews. The Tutor is a page-by-page commentary focusing on important concepts. If you master the Tutor, you will do very well on the chapter quizzes, and exams. Practice exercises (not collected) at the end of each chapter will give you additional experience. Only even numbered exercises have been suggested, so that you can check your answers in the back of the text.
