The registration process can be confusing, so we have tried to outline the steps you will need to take in hopes of simplifying the process. If you have trouble registering, please contact chemonline@weber.edu  for assistance. You may wish to print this page for a reference.

1. Go to Weber State's homepage (www.weber.edu)

2. Select "Admissions" and choose either "New Freshman" or "Transfer"

 

3. Click "Applying" (in the purple box) then "The application"

4. Choose "online application", then click "Begin the Process"

5. Choose either "New Freshman" or "Transfer"

6.  You will be asked to create an account, once finished,

This should bring up the admissions form.  When selecting "Application Type", be sure to select "Non-Degree" to avoid having to submit transcripts. 

6. After submitting the admissions form, and paying the admissions fee of (this can be done online via credit card or mailing in a check or MO), click the box at the end of the form to check on your admissions status. This will bring up a log in page. Click the link under the login to create a Wildcat account  (an email account). You will need the Wildcat account to register, to login to your course and for your email for Weber State.  At this time the Wildcat account will not be issued until your admission process is complete. You can check on your admission status by calling Admissions at 1-800-848-7770 ext. 6743.  Give Admissions at least 48 hours to process your application, but check with them frequently.

7. Once you are admitted, return to Weber State’s Homepage

8. Click on "Current Students" this will give you the login screen.

9. Login using your Wildcat name and password.

10. Click on "My Student Services" then "Register for classes", from here you can register for the class you need.  Ensure you are selecting the course offered by Dr. Michael Slabaugh and Dr. Spencer SeagerIf you need a pre-req override for Chem 1120, please send us your name, birth date, and student ID # (W#) so we can call in the override for you.  Email it to mslabaugh1@weber.edu or call at 801-626-6223.  You may also call 801-626-6600 to register by phone.

Order Books well in advance -

Go to www.wasatchtextbooks.com  Click on Weber State University link to find your textbooks and materials requirements.  You will have to get your Tutor CD there since they publish it for us and don't generally sell it to other retail stores in order to keep the mark-up costs down.

First day of class:

 go to www.weber.edu click on current student and log in.  Click on "my courses" and the course that you are registered for will show up as a link.  Click on your course and that will take you to the courses web page where you will get all the information that you need for the course.

Here's what you need to do to apply to The U!
1. Admission Application. http://www.usd.edu/continuing-and-distance-education/index.cfm

2. Application Fee of $20. If you have previously attended a university in the South Dakota Board of Regents system and have already paid the fee, you do not need to pay the application fee again.
 
3. High School Transcript. If you are applying to a degree program, you must request an official transcript be sent to The U. If you are still attending high school, the transcript must include courses completed and courses in progress, or the high school counselor may use the "High School Courses in Progress" section of this application to certify courses in progress. You will be considered for admission after completion of your junior year. You must also arrange for a final official transcript to be sent after you graduate from high school.
 
4. Official Report of ACT/SAT Scores. If you are applying to a degree program and are under 21 years of age, you must complete the ACT/SAT and have the results sent to The U. If you are between the ages of 21 and 24 and have taken the ACT/SAT within the past five years, you must submit your results to The U; however, if you have not taken the ACT/SAT, you are not required to take it at this time. If ACT/SAT scores are listed on your high school transcript, it is not necessary to request the scores from the testing agency.
